Hi

Is using a FOEX Combo Multiselect Plugin without an FOEX region possible? We have an existing APEX Application and I would like to use the FOEX Combo Multiselect Plugin in this page without creating a new FOEX region. After "Save" or "Create" the data dissapers and is not inserted or updated.

I know that there are some Plugins which can not be used without FOEX region.

Do you mean you copied the FOEX Template applciation based on theme 25?

Where did you create this? on demo.tryfoexnow.com? Please provide the details of the workspace application ID and page Id, so we can investigate your setup

Thanks Christian, and the answer is that there are some required changes to make this work outside of the FOEX Form plugin.

I have logged an enhancement request to make it work on a standard APEX page. I do strongly recommend that you aim to switch over to using FOEX Forms over standard APEX, but I'm sure you have your reasons for not doing so.

You are right, Matt. The reason is that we have an big APEX appication and we are using some plugins stand alone. Creating one of these pages new with FOEX is an time expensive work. So maybe in future it is possible?

Officially it is not supported.

However if you would like us to investigate your setup and see whether it could be used outside of the form plugin then please create a simple test case on demo.tryfoexnow.com that demonstrates the current behavior you are experiencing.

Hi

I tried to create the test case. I used Template 25. There i created page 1 and click "run page". Then the foex Icon appears with "loading page layout" and nothing is shown. In this page there is only 1 Form Region and 1 Report region.

Apologies I missed your last reply.

Your test case setup issue is caused by using the wrong page template.

Please note: the "FOEX Page" template is the default page template for the FOEX template applications. It is designed to work with a page that has a viewport/desktop region on it. If you plan to use a standard APEX page then please choose an appropriate template e.g. "One Level tabs - No Sidebar".

Can you please finish the setup of your test case.

Hi Matt I finished the test case. The field for the E-Mail adress is a FOEX Combo Multiselect. There you can choose a few values. Anyway they are not stored in the table. Thanks in advance, Christian
