Wizard item labels24.02.2020 23:02 When create an item, in a fieldset, using a formlayout Wizard, I can not use "optional above" in the appearance template section.  The old usage was working fine but anything I create that's new does not actually move the label above the box.  It keeps it as left only. APEX 18.2.0.00.12 FOEX 4.1.0.4197.02 I"m not sure if it happened in the current update or a previous one.
IE flashing with scroll bar27.11.2019 20:11 When you expand all sections to make right side scroll bar the screen flashes.  This is only in IE.  It works fine in Chrome and Firefox.  I was able to duplicate this in FOEX cookbook.  Screen shot attached.   APEX 18.2.0.00.12 FOEX 4.1.0.4162.01 IE 11.476.18362.0  Update Version: 11.0.160
HTML syntax appearing in Content Loader - CKEditor page01.05.2019 20:05 Anyone have an idea what's going on here?     APEX: 18.2.0.00.12 FOEX: 4.0.1.3909
Radio Group - GetFocus DA25.01.2019 23:01 Looks like the GetFocus Dynamic Action isn't firing on Radio Groups again.  Check boxes work fine.  Not sure which Hotfix broke it.
Fieldset Title change30.11.2018 16:11 I would like to change the title of a fieldset on the fly.  Does anyone know the metadata tables I can do this on?  I can do it with page items, but I'd really like to do it with regions/fieldsets as well.
FOEX Grid Plug-In issue30.10.2018 16:10 I've been getting this error message on a grid since our latest conversion to Theme 42 with the latest FOEX/APEX.  I rebuilt the grid just in case there was something funky going on with the conversion. Here is the table structure: ID                              NUMBER(10,0), TEMPLATE_NAME     VARCHAR2(100), FFIELD                       VARCHAR2(100), CATEGORY                VARCHAR2(100), PPROMPT                 VARCHAR2(100), PPROMPT2               CLOB, DDEFAULT                VARCHAR2(10), SORT_ORDER           NUMBER(2,0), REC_DELETED           VARCHAR2(1) The error I get when I try to create a record is as follows: ORA-00904: "IELD": invalid identifier ORA-06512: at "FOEX_040001.FX_P_GRID_CRUD", line 1121 ORA-06512: at "FOEX_040001.FX_P_GRID", line 8021   When I remove FFIELD from the list, it creates fine.  So my question is what is dropping the 'FF' off of the field in the grid?  It used to work fine before FOEX version V4.0.1.3775.00 and APEX version 18.2.0.00.12.
Alert user when data needs to be saved on content loader21.09.2018 22:09 I'm looking for idea for an issue we have dealing with content loaders.  Before FoEX 3.0 we created a few pages (80+) of different data captures, linked them together in tabs based on what the clients needed.  Sometimes there would be 3 tabs and sometimes there could be 8.  These were all content loaders(tabs) linked to a main page that would pass the ID to each form, the content loader(tab).  We came across an issue where they would forget to click on Save button to update the data before moving to the next tab.  So we would get a call stating their data was lost.  One way we fixed this was to have the save button change to red based on an On Focus DA.  This worked great except for one problem. Radio buttons, check boxes, multi-selects do not use On Focus DA.  So we used On Change DA for those items. Every item would need a link to either an On Focus DA or On Change DA, depending on what item it is, and a huge page with lots of items can slow the loading a bit.  And recently, we found a problem with the On Change DA, when you change the ID for a content loader(tab) and the data refreshed it caused a On Change DA to fire making the Save button change.  We didn't want that.  So I'm looking for another possible solution we could try so I won't have to have all the tabs reload every time an ID changes (which is an overhead for large number of content loaders(tabs)).
stacked content loaders - refresh issue17.07.2018 15:07 WS-1724 App: 260 - Page: 1 I have a nested content loader (I'm thinking of just dropping the extra content loader - I created a nested because it was a grid they didn't look at often.  I wouldn't have to worry about page load slowness until they need to look at the grid.)  When a refresh is done on the main page the content loader is refresh, but the grid in the nested content loader does not refresh.  If I have a form above the grid, the form gets refreshed, but the grid does not. In my app 260 run page 1, click the button to refresh a content loader examples and the grid in the sub content loader does not refresh.   With a form, I could use the action of the refresh on the form and force a grid refresh, but when the content loader is just a grid, I don't know how to refresh it.
CSS Inline14.06.2018 15:06 I have an CSS inline defined on a page to change the color of a text/textarea border.  This stopped working after we updated to 4.0. Is there some way I could get this working again?   CSS Inline: .x-form-display-field {     height: inherit !important; } .double-click-border {   font: inherit; border-color: #1f1e66 !important; }    Custom Config(component level): "fieldCls":"double-click-border"

Display Fields holding place even when no data in the field02.05.2018 16:05 APEX 5.1.4.00.08/FOEX 3.1.0.3586 https://trial.tryfoexnow.com/ords/f?p=235:8 One of the things I've noticed since updating to FOEX 3.1.0 is the FOEX display fields do not collapse if there is no data in the container.  It used to collapse so there was no blank space, if there was no data.  Is there a way we could get that option back or should I use something else, like a hide D.A. if the field has no value?   Example: https://trial.tryfoexnow.com/ords/f?p=235:8
Content Loader issue01.05.2018 17:05 I'm getting this error when I click on a content loader that contains a tree: ext-all.js?v=3.1.0.3586.00:19 Uncaught RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded     at F.getItemSizePolicy (VM2171 ext-all.js:19)     at getSizeModel (VM2171 ext-all.js:19)     at F.getItemSizePolicy (VM2171 ext-all.js:19)     at getSizeModel (VM2171 ext-all.js:19)     at F.getItemSizePolicy (VM2171 ext-all.js:19)     at getSizeModel (VM2171 ext-all.js:19)     at F.constructor (VM2171 ext-all.js:19)     at new F (VM2171 ext-all.js:19)     at F.getItem (VM2171 ext-all.js:19)     at F.getCmp (VM2171 ext-all.js:19)   All my other content loaders work fine.  I have a few others that contain a tree and they work fine as well.  The error can cause all sorts of weird responses from the page.  (i.e. things not fully loading, or not working at all)  Any ideas where I could look to resolve this error?
Prevent Desktop Window From Closing28.07.2017 17:07 One other option I'm looking for is a way to prevent a desktop window from closing. Turn off the upper-right 'X'. Is there a way I can do this, based on a page item value?
Disable tab based on Item value28.07.2017 16:07 I'm trying to figure out a way to disable tabs based on a value passed to an item on the tab page. Is there an easy way I can do this or can someone point me to an example I could use?
Dynamically change UI on Button26.07.2017 22:07 Is there a way to dynamically change the UI option on buttons? I saw the FOEX Button Actions action but it doesn't list the option to change the button to a different type of UI.
Form Grid-Combo Set Other Item13.09.2016 20:09 In the grid-combo plugin, under 'set other item' section, when the page loads it overwrites what it pulls from the database. Sometimes a person needs to adjust the verbiage for this one occurance than what the grid-combo is plugging. Is there anyway we could leave the data alone and not have it overwrite when the page loads? example:               code(item 1) verbiage(item 2) default:    F20             This is changed: F20              This is the change They would want the verbiage 'This is the change' but only once, never again. Default always being 'This is'. Right now 'This is' is plugged on a page load, no matter what is saved in the table. Any time they make a change in the form item they would have to make sure 'This is' is hand changed to 'This is the change' every time they loaded the page. It would be nice if the plugin ignored the plug if data already existed in that item on page load. I noticed in a past fix there was a fix to properly load the data on page load, but I want to not load if data already exists in the item. http://forum.tryfoexnow.com/osqa/questions/2991/grid-combo-set-other-items-does-not-set-during-intial-load
Grid Combo Sorting25.01.2016 23:01 How do I turn off sorting in a combo grid for a specific column? Sencha tells me I can do it, but not how or where. I stuck the following into Grid Custom Config: columns:{text: 'Date', dataIndex: 'DATE', sortable: false, hideable: false} But it did not seem to do anything, I can still sort the date field.
OEX Tree Grid not loading09.11.2015 18:11 We are having a problem where the tree grid stays in loading but only in Chrome. We can not duplicate if we connect to their application through Chrome. We did a gotomeeting and watch it sit in loading and never actually load. Having them switch to Firefox seemed to fix the loading issue. This all started happening after the last hot-fix, which we deployed around the 10/28. The tree is built into a content loader and we pass the ID key to the loader. Being that it works for us, we are not sure what to do.
CKEditor Action23.10.2015 16:10 I think the selected DA should read FOEX CKEditor?
FOEX ckEditor08.10.2015 12:10 Is there a way to use an onFOCUS DA on the ckEditor? I could not find a DA that specifically used ckEditor and the standard ones do not react to a onFocus.
Content loader Error11.09.2015 15:09 I've been using the content loaders to cut down on page loads and items per page, but I found the items would not update on a change of a grid. So I switched my content loaders to reload each time a new row is selected in the grid. This worked find but didn't solve the page load problem. I noticed a post to use FoEx Action DA to update the items on a refresh. So I thought I'd do this in a row select. This works...but not all the time. Some of my content loaders give me an exception error: ORA-01403: no data found. I have not been able to duplicate this on our demo. Would you guys have any idea where I can look to fix this? Only some content loaders have this issue.
Desktop menu disappearing too fast to select option20.05.2015 16:05 The latest Chrome browser update (43.0.2357.65 m) has caused the desktop menu to disappear fast. Too fast to select a second level in the menu system Is there a possible work around on this? FireFox seems to work fine.
Content loader Saving from a child window05.05.2015 19:05 Workspace: FX_WS_221 App: 211 Page: 3 Our clients seem to have a habit of not saving the form before they leave the page. The forms are located in a content loaders. I tried using an DA option to run a click from a child window using JavaScript click action. But the content loader is not a parent of the child window I'm using. The parent of the child is the wrapper of the content loader. Is there a better way to do this?
Grid Refresh/After Load22.01.2014 16:01 What is the difference between Grid Refresh and Grid After Load? I'm trying to get my focus on the same row in a grid, so I turned off Grid Refresh row set and changed to only set first row on Grid After Load. But Grid After load still set my row to first record. Could you explain the difference between the two actions?
Grid defaults seem to stop working after update19.11.2013 18:11 When I default an id column from a page item, it keeps erroring and saying can not insert a null, but the page item has a value. The table is set to prevent nulls from inserting. This tells me the page item is not being set. The session says it is. Any ideas? The following has an example of the issue: http://demo.tryfoexnow.com/apex/f?p=211:300:8630853919336:::::
Javascript window.open07.11.2013 20:11 I'm using a dynamic action to open a new browser tab through grid row action. Being the site I am linking too does not permit i-frame, I need to open a new browser tab. My issue is I need to pass the website specific data, so I build my URL based on the values. How to I use the javascript window.open() command with a page item I built? current example: window.open("#P223_url"); window.focus(); This just opens a browser tab of the current page with the #P223_URL in the values section of the url. ( http://apex3/apex/f?p=1000:223:7438234932163::NO:223::#P223_URL) Any clues as to what I am doing wrong?
Action columns on a grid31.10.2013 14:10 Hi guys, I'm looking to use multiple actions on a grid with different icons. One icon to open an edit window for the grid, the other two to open separate desktop windows to different web sites. I am not sure how to go about doing that. I looked at the Grid Row Actions on the documentation site, but I'm not following how to do separate actions and open multiple desktop windows. On fx_ws_221 (Chris's workspace) In application 221, page 301 (client info) there are regions there using an action. If you could help me figure out a way that would be awesome.
FORM GRID COMBO ISSUE27.09.2013 00:09 I'm having an issue where I have 3 separate combo grids in a form, one of them not working like the other two. The window just sits in processing. Using just the first two combo grids, the window runs fine. I loaded Vireo on Chris's demo site. Application 293 -> Page 200 -> Manage Enrollment Window -> Click "ADD ENROLLMENT" button. P200_EHR_ID item seems to be the problem. When I turn it to a text item, everything in the window works as intended. The code in the grid is the similar to the other combo grids in that window. Not sure why it would sit in process. I could use your guys help on this. Thanks.
Content Loader19.09.2013 20:09 How do I refresh a grid when I add or delete a record through a content loader region. The delete works, but the grid still shows the record. On FOEX Demo site in 211: Vireo Desktop (Refactoring) under Chris's account in FOEX demo, I tested the add a client and the grid does not update unless I hit the search icon. Do you know of an action I can use to refresh the grid based on the content loader regions CRUDs?
Setting items and Displaying them on a form04.09.2013 17:09 How do I display an items value on the form, after I've set it in the session? On the initial page creation the item as no value. As I select a row in a grid, I set that item, but the item is not displaying that 'set'. How do I refresh that? I can not use the FOEX load because it's based on multiple tables.
FOEX Window close - but APEX chart stays in place29.08.2013 20:08 I created a chart, in a page window, to be displayed when a user clicks a button. When the user clicks the X to close the window, the chart stays in place. All these regions are located on the same page. I have some pictures to load if you would like to see what it does. It leaves a floating window and I can not access anything, as if the window didn't actually close/hide. Would I use a dynamic action to hide chart, or is there a better way to make sure the chart disappears with the window on close?
Grids refreshing Calendars02.07.2013 21:07 I have an issue where if I select a row in a grid I'd like the calendar to refresh based on the client I've selected. All clients have a schedule and depending on the client I select this should update the calendar. The calendar works, but I have to update the calendar by changing the view (daily, weekly, monthly, today). The refresh does nothing for the calendar. Refresh works for forms but not calendars? I did notice the grid is FOEX and the Calendar is APEX version, could that be an issue?
Same Table Multiple Tab forms with a grid21.06.2013 22:06 Hi guys, The issue I'm having is applying the data to the same table with multiple tabs. Best way I can describe this is I have a client table with a bunch of fields, too many to display properly on one tab. I thought I'd create a grid for searching on top and below multiple tabs to allow data adjustments. First tab/grid link worked great, apply changes was fine. When I created a second tab and moved some of the items to that tab, the data would not update. I did not get an error, just nothing. Refreshing, of course, cleaned out the items and nothing was saved. My other thought was to create the second tab/form with all the items, having a separate link to the grid. This creates double usage of all the dynamics, and just a messy page with all those extra items I don't need. This also makes it so a user has to click apply before they switch tabs or the data will not update. Any ideas or am I going about this wrong?

Edited for double post sorry Fieldset Title change03.12.2018 15:12
I'm sorry, I guess I didn't really make myself very clear.  I want the user of our software to actually change it to what they want.  Similar to what I do when I make changes to items on a page using APEX_050100.WWV_FLOW_STEP_ITEMS table, I'm allowing our superusers to make those adjustments in the table.  I'm looking for a "table" where I can change the FieldSet titles. Any idea when the focus event would be implemented? Alert user when data needs to be saved on content loader27.09.2018 14:09
Actually, yes.  The ultimate way would be auto-save, but a temporary fix on the focus event would definitely help. Alert user when data needs to be saved on content loader25.09.2018 14:09
Sorry for my delayed response.  Yes, it is not a top priority. Currently, I created a work around.  Based on the changes with 4.0, the load time has decreased so I dropped the extra content loader.  I was wanting to do that anyway with 4.0, this just moved it up on my workload.  ;-)   stacked content loaders - refresh issue27.07.2018 14:07

Do you happen to know when the next hotfix will be for 3.1.0? We have a few 3.1.0 issues that will get resolved in the hotfix. Turn off TextArea Highlighting11.05.2018 19:05
Thanks for the reply Stew.  Unfortunately, it didn't seem to work.  I plugged it into custom config, it still highlights the text.    I'm Sensha illiterate.  My eyes start to cross when I see all the optional configs.  Some work and some do not.  Turn off TextArea Highlighting10.05.2018 17:05

Yep.  Before 3.1, when I would click in the text area it would not select the existing text.  Now, in 3.1, it selects the existing text automatically.  If there is a way to turn it off, that would be awesome. Turn off TextArea Highlighting10.05.2018 16:05

Thank you for help in resolving this. This works great. Disable tab based on Item value04.08.2017 13:08
I get this error, on page load, when I added the extra function: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'items' of undefined It is referring the disableAllTabs function. We have not upgraded to FOEX 3.0 yet. Other then that, I have it almost exactly like it was built in the sample. It works fine with just one function, just not both. Unfortunately, I need both so I can keep the main tab active. Disable tab based on Item value03.08.2017 18:08
Is there a way to disable all the tabs except the one you're on, without knowing the static_id? Disable tab based on Item value03.08.2017 14:08
I think I have something setup wrong. I've built a similar issue in tryfoexnow.com APP# 260. Could you take a peek at that one and let me know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks Disable tab based on Item value02.08.2017 20:08
I'm sorry...I guess I was not clear at all. I wanted to programmatically turn the close off when the window was already open based on an item in the window environment. Prevent Desktop Window From Closing01.08.2017 14:08

Nope...the window is a desktop environment window. No query, though there is a couple of grids and content loaders. I just need a way to turn off the 'X' part in a desktop window. I'm thinking there is no way to turn that off based on an item on the page? This is very similar to the tab problem I posted. We are trying to close holes where our clients aren't saving their data before they close the window. Prevent Desktop Window From Closing31.07.2017 13:07

Sorry I took so long. With still trying to learn APEX 5.0 changes and keeping up with issues our clients are having, it's been a busy week. Loving the new environment, but it's a re-learning experience. We are now only in APEX 5.0 environment. trial.tryfoexnow.com APEX 5.0 APP: 266 page: 2 What I'm trying to do is show a button when they select the CKEditor. A regular text field, this works (on page as well). When you click the button it hides it, when you select text field it shows....when you select CKEditor, it does nothing. Thanks Matt that works great. Meaningful Use Stage 2 is almost defeating me. My brain is not thinking properly. I should have realized it. Thanks again for you time. Grid defaults seem to stop working after update20.11.2013 14:11
I'm sorry Matt...I don't mean to cause you irritation on not enough information. I thought by explaining the problem and giving you the page you might have an idea. I'm sorry for not providing more information. That was stupid of me. It is on a content loader page, specifically medication page 302 Lab tab. When I do a 'create' on the appointments grid and enter the information (data doesn't really matter), the cli_id field is defaulted by P300_CLIENT_ID_DRILL. I see it in session state and I see it when I enter the data, but when I update it tries to insert a NULL value. Grid defaults seem to stop working after update20.11.2013 00:11

Hey Matt, I was able to create a simple test similar to what I'm doing in the main one. Here is the link. http://demo.tryfoexnow.com/apex/f?p=211:304:7365130301359::::: It's in Chris's demo. Thanks for the quick reply. I'm not sure I'm understanding your answer right. I've loaded up a new build of the application into Chris's FOEX demo site, app 293. I didn't quite have the sample built. I saw you were editing the vireo desktop and in order for me so show an example I had to install our latest build. I just finished it last night. No data in it yet. So I need to create the form based on multiple tables, how do I do that? With all the tables there are unique ID's. On page 110 of APP 162, that is the page I built. This is on Chris's demo. (all tables are built there.) Setting items and Displaying them on a form05.09.2013 13:09
